Equestrian Training

Teaching a horse to go in the correct way is very important in order to keep him in peak of physical condition. It;-

  • Encourages symmetrical muscle development
  • Reduces the risk of muscle strains, sprains, tears and musculo skeletal injuries.

Once a horse has been in pain, like us, he becomes over- protective towards affected muscle groups. He may develop a compensatory way of going. By removing pain and retraining him using his muscles correctly, improvement generally follows.

Examining the posture of the rider is of equal importance How you ride can really influences the horse’s way of going. Often if one has a muscle imbalance, so has the other! Whilst teaching, I am very aware of this and on the lookout for it.

As a BHSII and a masseur, I well understand how to teach both horse and rider sympathetically to achieve a harmonious, gentle effective way of going.

Because I compete myself, I have an excellent understanding of the concerns of the competitive rider. Having visited the top training establishment in Sweden,I have adopted the holistic Swedish approach and mental attitude to training,

I am available for either individual or group lessons.

I can maximize your chance of success.

Psychology

As I am aware of how often time is a limiting factor, I can arrange telephone coaching sessions.

If you would like to optimize your chance of success through mental and psychological preparation, you may be interested to talk to a coach who can help you improve your performance, overcome nerves and reach your full potential. Please ring for a FREE consultation to discuss your concerns..
